At Monevo Limited, we’re committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Who are we?

Monevo is a registered Trading Name of Monevo Limited which is an Appointed Representative of Quint Group Limited, and is entered on the Financial Services Register under reference number: 723672. Quint Group Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and is entered on the Financial Services Register under reference number: 669450. Monevo Limited is registered in England and Wales (company number 06511345), Glasshouse, Alderley Park, Nether Alderley, Cheshire, SK10 4ZE.

Monevo is a Data Controller and is responsible for the personal data we collect about you. We are Licenced by the Information Commissioner’s Office (registration number Z1498441).

If you do not provide personal information, we will not be able to provide our services to you trying to find you a credit product.

What information do we collect from you and where do we get it from?

We collect information about you:

  1. When you apply for a credit product via our application form or you are introduced to us or your application is provided to us by one of our Partners (who, for example, operate their own website).
  2. Our Credit Providers, and on occasion our Partners, will provide information related to the service they provide, for example they will give us information about what policy or product you purchased and when.
  1. We collect personal information about you from Credit Reference Agencies.
  2. We record information when you submit a form in order to download any whitepaper or other marketing materials either directly from the website or accessed via a third-party website or social media platform.
  3. We collect information when you voluntarily provide feedback via our contact form and by email or telephone.
  4. Website usage information is collected using cookies and further information can be found here.

The type of personal information we collect from you and about you includes, but is not limited to, your: name, current and previous addresses, residential status, date of birth, email address, telephone numbers (home, mobile, work), employment status, income details, bank account and sort code, CRA data, IP address, device type and loan outcome data.

We do not collect any personal information from children, or about children, nor do we collect sensitive or special category data

How do you keep my information secure?

Your security and privacy comes first in everything we do; if your data is not secure then it’s not private. We utilise the most advanced security infrastructure and measures to ensure your data is private whilst in transit and at rest. If we share your information to any third parties, we will only do so if they provide the necessary assurances that they  maintain the same levels of security and privacy as ourselves.

We may send you direct marketing communication by email or SMS in relation to your credit products application results     but      only       if you have given us your explicit consent, and only via the channels you have agreed.

Credit Searches

We will make searches about you at credit reference agencies who will supply us with credit information, as well as information from the Electoral Register. The agencies will record details of the search whether or not this application proceeds. We may use credit-scoring methods to assess this application and to verify your identity. Credit searches and other information which is provided to us and/or the credit reference agencies, about you and those with whom you are linked financially may be used by Monevo and other companies if credit decisions are made about you, or other members of your household. This information may also be used for debt tracing and the prevention of money laundering as well as the management of your account.

Information held about you by the Credit Reference Agencies may be linked to records relating to your partner. For the purposes of this application, you and your partner are financially independent and you request that your application be assessed without reference to any “associated” records, although you recognise that this may adversely affect the outcome of your application. You believe that there is no information relating to your partner that is likely to affect our willingness to offer financial services to you. You authorise us to check the validity of this declaration with credit reference agencies and if we discover any associated records, which would affect the accuracy of this declaration we may decide not to proceed with the application on this basis. We may periodically check and update your credit profile to provide you with up to date, relevant offers. This will not impact your credit score, credit worthiness or your ability to obtain credit.

International Transfers

Your personal information is stored on our secure servers in the UK. As part of our Services, your personal data may be accessed in the European Union, in this case, your personal data is protected by the European data protection standards.

As part of our Services, the information which you provide to us may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). For example, we have staff who work for us operating in South Africa. We also use a third party processor who is based in China. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the UK. By submitting your personal data, you’re agreeing to this transfer, storing or processing.

 If we transfer your information outside of the UK in this way, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures and safeguards are implemented with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this Policy. For example, we have put in place a contract with our third party processor that means they must protect it to the same standards as the UK GDPR. How long do we keep hold of your information?

The amount of time we hold your information depends on the reason it was provided. Your data will not be kept indefinitely and will only be kept for as long as is required for legitimate business reasons (for example to provide you with our Services or for the other reasons we explained above) and in order for us to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

The personal information we receive when you make an application (whether on our website or which comes to us via one of the websites of our affiliates) is kept for a minimum of six years, which will commence at the end of the relationship. We are required to do so to ensure that if any disputes or complaints are raised, we have your information to enable us to address the complaints or disputes.

If you request that we do not contact you for advertising and marketing reasons, we will need to keep your information as this would reflect your preferences.

The right to be informed

Do you use cookies?

Monevo uses cookies to help us analyse the traffic on our site and customer behaviour. Cookies may also be used by our partners to understand marketing and traffic patterns. Whilst visiting our website, any pages you choose to view will download cookies onto your computer. Cookies are a good way of helping us measure and assess our visitors and their own profiles, which then enables us to offer our customers a better service. Although we use cookies as above, we would not store anything that would make you identifiable i.e. passwords or locations, activity relating to finances and also your preferences.
